Oh Oh Ohhhhh GLP-1!!!

Can you talk a bit about how it affected your relationship with food? Was it the nausea that kept you away from eating... making it easier to change your lifestyle/eating plan etc.? I'm just trying to figure out what I am in for vs. the whole placebo effect and the normal effects of writing down everything that goes into my mouth. Also, has changing the dose caused you to go right back to earlier patterns - or does some of it stick?
Man, that's tough, because there is a chicken and a egg thing there, yeah when I was nauseous obviously I did not each much, and I did learn that fried foods/rich foods generally lead to more nausea, but there was also some "good" foods that just seemed to give me some trouble like Tuna, idk why but it would always give me reflux with "tuna burps". And I love Tuna, but I don't really like tasting it 6 hrs later - I've always had bad acid reflux, though, but the zepbound can bring out the worst in it. That said, even on the very lowest dose before I ever had any side effects, I noticed a huge difference in "food noise" and just generally not being hungry all the time, forgetting to eat at times or going longer between meals, eating way smaller meals and feeling fulfilled and satisfied by them. I found myself naturally making healthier choices quite often just because when you're not as hungry and food loses it's power over you, it becomes so much easier. I have lots of skinny friends that just eat crap food but they eat less of it, and they don't think about food all the time. And in my head now I'm like, "ohhhhh, so THIS is what it must be like to be them...". I do eat better, but I still eat crap food sometimes, but I just eat small portions and have better control. Changing dose has not substantially affected me in a noticable way yet, but the last time I went down on dose, I did stop losing so... Something was going on, somewhere.
I imagine the effects are honestly highly indivualistic, so my experience may be entirely different from yours.

Thanks. I'm just trying to collect as much anecdotal data as I can before I dive in.

We all literally have the worst possible job for a healthy relationship with food. Heck, today I was texting back and forth with a friend who was on a delayed flight in the PR talking about how he was "lucky" to get Popeye's chicken fingers because they close at 1730 local - then he was delayed till a 2230 arrival at his destination when everything was closed. (especially after the drive to the hotel and such) Normally, I would have carried something in my bag for those kinds of situations - but I also would be eating too much after I arrive - right before I would go to bed. None of that is ideal.

Anyhoo, no point to that story from tonight except that I'm hoping that I'll be able to manage the stress of eating on the road a little better this time around while on the journey.

Second day after titrating up to 5mg and, so far, zero side effects.
Yeah, for most people if they do exist, they’re minor, and they don’t start til the higher doses. It sucks I'm one that’s affected but hey I’m still down nearly 80 lbs even if I have to just switch to a maintenance dose for now. Do you have the shotsy app? It’s helpful for visualizing how much is actually in your system. Because of the super long half life of these drugs, you still have about half of last week’s dose left in your system by the time you do the new dose. So like even tho I’m taking 7.5mg I have about 10mg in my system right now. Strangely I feel like I get the most issues 3 days after a shot, whereas for many people it seems to be the day after.
