Not like there hasn’t been design issues with Boeings and doors on the past. Last big one was 747 cargo door design. The intricate system that seemingly always had problems with that door style, were numerous and known.

In all seriousness though, people are insane. There are conspiracy theories now insinuating that the plug issue was somehow known, and the seats were intentionally not occupied. What sense does that make? People are so F'ing dumb.......especially dumb when they think they are being "smart". Why is everyone looking for a conspiracy in every single possible thing? We are doomed, as a species. Just accept it.....we are particularly ignorant of everything in the world that we don't directly deal with daily. We are dumb, and we overvalue our "intuition". We make stupid judgements that turn out to be BS. You can have a lot of peace in life when you come to this realization.

Don’t let it get you down and worried. Last half of 2024 and 2025 projections are looking great (for now). AS always feels a little funny because they are so conservative. UAL hiring with full flood gates open doesn’t indicate that AS isn’t doing well and that UAL is. I promise you’ll be happy that AS is the way it is. When the next downturn hits.

Did you mean 300 hr pilots in Asia and Africa? Because Europe seems to be doing fine with 300 hr ab initio pilots at places like Lufthansa.
