Years ago I tried to "rotate" my car while accelerating to the highway. Had a momentary panic attack when the "yoke" wouldnt move.

I’ve done that! When I was flying my ass off in Alaska, I started doing things like that, and reaching for rudder trim in my car...

I literally say that all the time. Not just at the drive through either. Along with "wilco", "roger", and "affirmative/negative". I've genuinely been surprised by how few people know what "wilco" means. I thought every 10 yr old with a set of walkie talkies and a plastic army helmet knew it.

I was riffing on the people who use like ... over-the-top standardized phraseology, and then drop a grotesque error in there like 'oh' instead of 'zero.'

... but um, I agree. I miss position and hold, and I prefer 'point.'
