The worst turbulence I've experienced was up in Vermont... Tried pushing through a gust front between a couple of peaks to make it back to our airport. Horrible, horrible mistake. Aircraft became uncontrollable for about 30 seconds and we were just along for the ride. A minute and 1500ft later we made it through. My head tried to go trough the ceiling and everything we had in the airplane had been upturned and was in disarray,
