If there is anything that would send the industry over the edge, it would be foreign carriers taking pilot jobs in the U.S. Dont we already do this through code share agreements anyway?
Yes, although It's a trade also. Like DTW to CDG on Delta, operated by an Air France A340. OTOH I've also seen Air France from CDG to Vientiane, Laos operated by a Delta 777.

Still, I'd rather we fly our stuff and they fly there's seperately.
