Goodbye Virgin America

Absolutely. I do. But here's the difference though. And in this example I say 'you' but I don't necessarily mean you, I mean some people in general. If you were to say to me, "damn that is one ugly ass old woman on the tail, what's up with that?" Personally, I'd be like "hahahaaaaa yeah it is." But if I was to say "Airlines, no, it's Air Lines... why? Cause f!@$ you, that's why!" There are quite a few people who'd be like "whoa whoa, no, no, you have to go back in history it was 1945 and [story continues], whereas I'm like "dude I'm just bustin your balls, you don't have to explain it."

What I'm saying is when it comes to companies, it's okay to make fun... and not have to defend it. From what I've seen on forums it seems most airline pilots get that, but Delta ones seem to be a little more on the defensive side. Of course the counter-argument is that one is taking pride in their own company and when it comes to the majors, we all do, but at some point ya gotta let it fly and just laugh. :D

Crap, I'm sorry, I thought I was giving @AAPalmTree a pep talk and presumed I was responding to him because of the whole 'case and point' or whatever.

I know you guys don't see it. That's what makes it so cute.

Cute is what we aim for. Flattered we're on your mind so often! *blush*

Would you like a set of plastic wings or a sticker kit? How about a 3D airplane trading card?

There are also Sun Country pilots who are convinced that Delta is going to buy them. So if they stay put, they'll be better off during the seniority list integration.

My friend was asked, "How many are you hiring for the next X years? Because I might be better off staying at Sun Country and waiting for integration rather than being a new hire".

Le WOT?!
They are going to have a rude awakening when skywest buys us and we get stapled under them then sun country gets stapled at the bottom of that.

I'm 46.

Do you reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally think I care about what's being said on the playground? :)

Seriously. Tell all your hot moms I said, "Hay gurl".

Sooo...the "plan" for Virgin/Alaska's SFO ops was made public today. A split operation between THREE terminals each with their own TSA checkpoint and 1 segregated by construction requiring the AirTrain or a counter-clockwise circle around SFO. Check-in counters at International Terminal and T2, but all Q400 flights will depart from the hard stands in T1, as will any "overflow" flights that do not fit on T2 or the International terminal. Build up a hub at GDP ridden SFO and have pax play terminal roulette and more than likely have to figure out away across the airport and re-clear TSA to catch their connection. Or check in at T2 and be told doors close to your flight at the A-terminal in 20 minutes(if you make the 30 minute check in and expect to board at T2). Starts in May.

Eating my words, fantastic plan.

No mention of buses? That's what I would expect. Considering what Delta is going to go through in LAX, this ain't that bad.

That's the short term plan and unless I'm missing something, there is no other decent alternative. What would you recommend? Fact is VX is in T2, AA is here as well with nowhere to go, and AS is in the Intl terminal. The long term plan is once the new T1 is done and AA leaves T2, then both VX/AS would share T2.
