Heard back today that i'm #31 in the pool...not sure what i can/can't post about class sizes/frequency and what not but was told their guess was mid/late september

Telex 750 and earplugs cut in half.

Negative qi for me to have something on my head for some the longer flights; very annoying and the wire to boot.

For me it is all about not wearing the thing to begin with. But, that's only because I don't mind earplugs at all.

I use the same setup. I'm thinking about getting a new headset since my ears are getting irritated by the ear plugs. Or I should stop using the crappy ear plugs they supply in the crew room...

The 850 is pretty much perfect for the jungle bus.

^This^ The Telex 850s are the best thing ever and the E170 series isn't nearly as loud as the 145s. Not even in the same category, I know it's the same manufacturer but really it just doesn't compare at all.

135 Pax Metroliner SIC. Nothing glamorous but hoping a couple hundred hours of some 135 multi turbine crew time will help me out. I know its not easy to get in at Compass but this is where I want to be so I am gonna give it all I have. I have a friend on the inside who has my resume ready to drop at the recruiting managers office... he told me to get my stuff done ASAP even though I'm about 125 short on my total time (@ 50 hrs/month) they might interview early. Not holding my breath, but its worth a shot. Will know more this week, just have to get the last of the boxes checked.

Any tips or suggestions are appreciated, as always.

Most people I've spoken to that have applied got a call, some the next day, some a few weeks, good luck! "Pool members" will be hearing about fall class dates soon it seems
