Life at Compass

It's not that weird. It's like the AFOQT or the ASVAB. Every section will give you a score and you need a minimum passing score on each one, but you also need a total score that's passing. It allows you to be weak in one area, but you have to make up for it by being strong in another area.

For example a minimum passing for each test might be 65, but a combined score needs to be 225. Say you get a 65 on the job knowledge, you're ok as long as you make up for it with at least 80 on the cog and personality.

I say learn from it and prepare yourself for another chance in a couple of months.

Yea that makes sense I suppose.

Has Compass started to call people without a degree?

Ok, that makes sense. Didn't think of it as needing a total numerical score. Thanks.

When they ask you to bring "121/135 carrier information to complete PRIA paperwork" what information are they actually talking about. Is it just normal address phone number type of information? Or is there something else I'm completely missing?

Every airline has a PRIA manager. All you need is :

Employer's Name
Phone
Address
Fax (optional)

You will be filling out a general 8060-10 authorizing your new employer to research your past training history and you will be filling out one FAA form 8060-11 for every 121/135 outfit that you have worked for.

You are flying with "face book" tomorrow. We just played tennis on campus. He'll have to tell you how it is when we play tennis.

OH SNAP!

I can see how this conversation is going to go:

Me: "Hey Facebook."

Facebook: "Who the crap are you? Do I know you?"

Me: "Yeah, about that..."
