Life at Compass

is Seattle still pretty junior? For FOs and CAs?
Upgrades still occurring pretty quick? How long on reserve (for both CA and FO)?

Other than the aforementioned tool, is the pilot and FA group pretty nice? Fun overnights? Slam-clickers?

What constitutes a 'fun' overnight?

What constitutes being with a fun crew? Do you have to go do things outside of work to be considered fun?

I occasionally perceive, like mentioned before, bemoaning of crews about people not "going out" on the overnights. Just wondering why that bothers some people so much..

Because if you don't go out on overnights to get boldly trashed and wildly out of control, you just don't understand, man.

Yep! HBOGO is glorious.

You see that new show Vice Principals?

Because it'll never happen to MEEEEEEE! :)

If the FO wants to go have some beer and do the tourist thing, cool, I was going to do that anyway.

Happy in a group. Happy alone. :)

A fun overnight equals a nice running trail and enough time to use it with some time to eat and relax before getting 8 hours of sleep.

I'm getting old

Hell Im in my mid twenties and that sounds better than going out and getting blitzed, that what college was for.

Same. Mid twenties and I try and take care of myself. Get a workout in, and eat something that isn't terrible for me. And yet, crews don't like doing that. No skin off my back

Speaking of DFW, don't attempt to commute DFW to ATL. You will not be pleased!
You know, Derg, I've heard so many horror stories about commuting into out or out of ATL, I'm pretty scarred and don't ever want to have to even contemplate it.

When you are in college you go out to the bar to get blitzed. As a grown up, I go out to a bar for the social aspect of it and to have a few drinks. It's a hazy line, but there is a difference.

Also, and I'm sure I'm not alone, people are rarely going out every night of a trip, trip after trip. heck my need to hit the bar is sated if I go out once every two or three trips.

Don't lie I know you be out with your phone and Pokemon GO catchin em all as soon as you're on the hotel van.

I haven't worked 121, but I've read enough forums to know that the cool people:
-have to dress just right on the overnight
-don't talk about family because that's not cool
-don't talk about flying unless it's to talk about how much they don't talk about flying
-don't talk about sports unless it's ironically making fun of "sportsball"

Nope, not at all.

I enjoy going out with my crew and the first round is always on me. I've rented bikes in San Diego and we rode around Coronado island. Gone out to the Alamo on a San Antonio layover after hitting the riverwalk. One time on my SMF layover, the FO lived there and owned a C152. Took all of us up for a coule patterns each. The flight attendants had a blast on their turns. Too much stuff to do than sit in a hotel room.
