Life at Compass

For the love of God can we please get the right hotel information on the pairings. I called again tonight only to hear "you don't stay here anymore." If any of us were this incompetent at our job we would all be soon unemployed..

You need to get the iCrew app. (It only takes 3 or 4 emails to get your password.)

There is a ton of great information on our ALPA MEC website including the instructions to install ICrew (see above link) and an updated, month to month hotel list.

I'll agree with our colleagues above regarding iCrew. It really is the best way to get the most up to date into about crew hotels.

Saying that the pilots need to utilize another app because the company can't get the job done is one step away from telling pilots to create their own releases since the contingency fuel was wrong. Why and were do we settle?

I have a quick question about upgrades at Compass. APC is showing the Jr Captain award being around 6 months. I am curious what is fueling the quick upgrades since all the aircraft have been delivered and no more on order. Is this due to attrition, FOs not meeting 121 mins for upgrade? I am curious how long the short upgrades will be sustainable.

Thanks.

Lots of people leaving.

It is a combination of both. Your guess is good as mine. If they continue upgrading at 24/mo, that exceeds the rate at which us FO's who don't meet the mins get our time. Right now personally I'm about 8 months out from having the time. There's no real way to know without knowing about everybody on property not for 6 months yet how many of them have the 121 time and if the upgrades will really continue at 24/mo... So far it seems just a little lower than that #.

I have sent SEVERAL emails to no avail and as @Adler stated why should I have to I install a 3rd party app just to get correct hotel information? I'll do it if I can ever get the login info but come on, where does it end? I have to load the Eagle birds at the outstations now. "I have 27 bags, where do you want me to put them?" First two days of a four day every leg I have to call dispatch to have the IOE FA we have with us put on the release.on top of everything else we have to do on a turn and so it goes, on and on. Building "C" is in complete melt down mode and we are suffering for it.

Hypothetical here. You are LAX based and swap a two day LAX trip with a two day MSP trip. Assuming the MSP grid is green (haha), can you then drop the MSP trip and get a few extra days off?

Hmm, that seems kind of gamey to me. Thus, my gut says no.

Worked really well at the last shop...

In a previous life you had to handwrite a release and have dispatch sign it off, you chose your hotel and let the company know where you were and at what time they could call you; sure the EGT gauge didn't work for a year, and stabilized approach meant stable at 500' not stable at 501', but you always got the days off that you wanted.

And I would've been a 20 something Boeing check airman. But sometimes we choose to commute across the country to reach the end goal sooner.
