Life at Compass

The lumosity is just to help with the cognitive test, which you can read about on willflyforfood. For me I tried lumosity but I think if you happen to play any decently paced video game you're going to accomplish the same things. Main thing to remember for the cognitive test is READ the directions.

This^^^^^^^^^^^^
I got through it and I'm about as sharp as a bowling ball.

How big are the lumosity questions in their interview?
I'd say pretty close to the other sections of the test. If I had to guess...12 or 14 point font. It's been a while since I took the tests so my memory is a little hazy.

It's one of three tests you'll take. I wish I could answer the question better but I don't know what you're asking.

I'll take a stab at it. It's a computer based test with different sections of various cognitive skills. Scored on accuracy and speed. Which hand is the guy holding a flag, balance a dot/ball on a beam, remember number sequences etc.. There are gouges out there with very good specifics on what goes on. Give those a read.

Sort of answered what I was asking. I just meant how many questions are included in that test and how difficult? I've read some of the gouges from other airlines with some tongue twister type questions and answers but wasn't sure how large this lumosity test was.... question wise and difficulty...

I assume it's pretty heavily weighted.

It's pretty cut and dry @tcco94 the Lumosity web site or app is a good way to practice for the Cog test. It is NOT the same test or anything related to it at all honestly. It is just a good way to start exercising your brain to help prepare for it. There is no specific way to study for this test in any way, shape, or form. Lumosity is an excellent suggestion however. You can however, study very much for your knowledge exam. They provide a study guide for it, as well as suggestions on texts you can read. Also, there are gouges online. The third component is a nut detector test (aka personality test). Once again, no way to study for this.

The tests, AFAIK are not a cumulative score. A passing score on each test is required to proceed past the computer testing process. It is possible to do very well on 2 of these tests and not so well on another, and be asked to leave. You will not be given a numerical value on these tests. You are simply told if your passed or not. I hope this helps and good luck.

EDIT: I also should have said that the Cog test is more of a series of games than actual questions. It is very important you read the instructions at the beginning of each section!

The dude holding the flag darn near sunk me. My little pilot brain doesn't do upside down and backwards well, especially when the clock is ticking. :-)

The key to the cog answer as quickly and accurately as possible and to stay calm and focused when you screw up, and you will screw up. It is an exercise meant to push you and frustrate you.

Anyone on here still in class? I think we should get the 10k bonus also.
Apparently recruiting just found out about it.
I think we should try and get it if we are still in new hire class.
