9 months (bypassed once) and 10 days. Your mileage will vary...Just curious.... what are the upgrade times for Compass right now and how long are new hire FO's on reserve for?
Did you get offered the job? I heard they are giving offers on the spot now.For what it's worth, I just interviewed today and the guys doing the interviewing said a month or two on reserve and 1-1.5 years till upgrade. They did emphasize that that was a worst case estimate and that they are still waiting on delivery for another 12 airplanes.
Class date of Aug 6.
Thanks Hacker. Your stuff helped a lot!
We have for about 4+ years now.Did you get offered the job? I heard they are giving offers on the spot now.
Yeah after the HR portion of the interview they went back into the office and only talked bad about me for like 3 minutes then came back out with the offer.Did you get offered the job? I heard they are giving offers on the spot now.
You'll have your ID and CASS the very first day of orientation.Yeah after the HR portion of the interview they went back into the office and only talked bad about me for like 3 minutes then came back out with the offer.
OK guys, now time for some advice. I am a regional FO with a 5 month baby. Travel to/from and accommodation are my responsibility for orientation. I'm trying really hard to figure out a way to get there and back while spending the least amount of money. I think I have three options...NOTE i live in OKC.
1. I drive up there and back. Boo.
2. I fly up there and back for like 500 clams. Boo again.
3. This one is my favorite. I finish a three day on the a couple f days before my trip starts. I just hang out in the crash pad. Until the day before class starts. Pay for a $120 round trip fare from ORD, then just wait till I get my ID so I can jumpseat back home.
Number three is feeling like a winner. The only problem I have is how long does it normally take to get ID/CASS up and going?
You sure enough that you would feel comfortable booking a one way to msp? You'll have your ID and CASS the very first day of orientation.
I am sure. You sure enough that you would feel comfortable booking a one way to msp?

I arranged for my last day of employment to be the day before orientation. I non-reved to MSP after returning my company ID. I stayed at the Holiday Inn-Eagan for the Delta crew rate. I used my newly acquired CASS privileges to travel home an hour after orientation ended. I wouldn't recommend that level of risk to someone else. Yet, it's the cheapest method I devised, and it worked.
lol, Yeah I thought about making my last day at the current shop the first day at the new one. However, i would not put it past them to suspend my travel benefits early.I arranged for my last day of employment to be the day before orientation. I non-reved to MSP after returning my company ID.
