Life at Compass

Guys thanks. This is all good food for thought. When I mentioned "quick upgrade" I certainly wasn't counting on an
immediate upgrade. Right now at my current shop, I'm looking at 19 months assuming upgrades continue at the rate they are... BIG assumption. If I could upgrade in a year I would be beyond happy.

I guess I'm just really nervous about all the stuff going on here and really don't see substantial qol and pay changes coming down the pike here.

Right now I'm thinking, with the little I know of compass, even if I went there and movement stopped all together I would STILL be in a better position than if I stayed.

Just don't know what to do.

I was at YX. I came here. I in no way regret it.

I agree with everyone above. The guaranteed quick upgrade is gone. I don't know anything about Republic, so I can't comment on whether you'll upgrade faster here or there. I think our second year FO pay is more than topped out FO pay at Republic. And we have cancellation pay.

Plus, like, work rules and stuff.

Very curious to see how things shake out about next summer-ish when I hit the 1000, ill put in for CA right away knowing that it could be a while before any vacancies open up. But as was said earlier, a middle of the pack FO right now is not a bad place to hang for *gasp* an extra 6 months or year to upgrade. At least it wont be 8 years or something equally depressing.

I'd recommend you interview ASAP, and when you get the job make a decision then. I can't say what's right for you, but even as an FO this place has been fantastic compared to my last regional.. I actually don't hate going to work here.. :)

Seriously. I was on the fence and almost didn't go to the interview here. I ended up doing it just for the option, and I'm VERY glad I did.

Ok guys, I've got an interview sort up for the 24th. So that's not s whole lot of time and I am trying to study. Just been going through the will fly for food stuff and the study guide they sent . Am I on the right track? Is there a better guide out there someone could recommend?

Thanks for the help.

That's what I used. I also used Lumosity daily. It was enough to get me hired, so you should be fine. The SOC runs on hot dish, so consider bringing some to share.

PM with anything specific and I'll be happy to help.

lol, hot dish, huh...I guess I'll bring some green-been casserole.

Seriously, though...was there anything on luminosity that you focused more on? Just cover it all?
