Layover food

I woke up in Hong Kong at 9pm after a 19 hour flight. I was tired, hungry, and didn't feel like going anywhere. So I went to the rooftop bar for a burger. This monstrosity appeared!

50 cent oyster happy hour! Also had a She Crab soup which was delicious at Saltine's in Norfolk. I did not know Norfolk was famous for seafood? Wanna bid this layover again for the soup lol

Next time you have that layover, get an uber over to chicks beach, especially as the weather starts to get nice in a couple months. Some great places to eat. I never got over to Norfolk very much when I lived in VA Beach, but when we did, they seemed to have good eating. Ghent was at the time, the cool place to live/hang if you were a person that lived there.

Hah, I got this noodle cookbook not long ago, and I have been meaning to make the paste from their recipe. Just need like 2 more ingredients I'm gonna have to get off the internet. That's good stuff right there
It's amazing. I am gonna have to try making it. What cookbook did you get?

Let me see if I can figure out what it is. Second OBWT, the south satellite at SEA has an Indian restaurant that serves bowls of it, I noticed today. I think maybe their name means Indonesian too :)

Ooooh. I will have to try that next time I pass through.

Bangkok Station Thai in Atlanta. Flavorful, but literally devoid of any sort of heat. 3/10 would not recommend.

Layover “Breakfast for Lunch” at Waffle House, because this part of Buckhead is already “Plain Jane” uninspiring. 5/10 — neutral recommendation, but a decent utility meal that would ‘make a turd’ at least:

Took a trip out to the Denver to visit the Zoo and found a Michoacan restaurant named Patzucaro's. Carnitas Plato 10/10!

Damn that looks good.

I love Carnitas but with just two of us in the house, we've got delicious pork for weeks.

Eff it, when I get back from the sims, that's exactly what I'm making to celebrate a new career achievement.

Breakfast for dinner in our case. 1st night of a 4 day. We stayed at the airport hotel in AUS and this was one of the few places still open past midnight. We didn’t know it at the time, but this is where we peaked on our trip. Dang atmospheric river made the rest of the trip go to crap.
