It’s a closer walk anyway and if you tell them you’re with Southwest you get a discount.Yea, gotta try that next stop. CPT mentioned it.

Random, tangentially related question. I've got my vacation time early-mid feb, thinking about dropping kids off with grandparents, and then taking wife to airport and seeing what seats are open going somewhere in the world. We've chatted about MX City (based on pics in this thread), Thailand, Singapore, or maybe somewhere icier (since I like cold) like Finland or Iceland. I'd definitely be basing some decisions of destination on food. Thoughts, based on your layover experiences?
All great choices. Standby should be easy that time of year so I think you'd almost have your pick of destination.
Malaysia and Indonesia are also great food destinations (unless you don't like spicy food).
That’s a great time to get away. I used to plan my vaca’s for after PBP payout, and before spring break.Random, tangentially related question. Easy to fly around on standby.
I did Australia, Vietnam, Morocco, France, Spain, Portugal and Chile during those months.
I’d say fly to NYC, then ride a widget to Lisbon…get a car and head to the Algarve. Great food, awesome beaches…think California without Californians.
The French don't think Finnish food is food and I disagree with that assessment.Random, tangentially related question. Narita overnights are my favorite in the whole system. Glad to see you coming around on sushi. You need to try fatty tuna.Been doing a lot of Tokyo lately. Going back twice this week. Some places I’ve found. Still warming up to sushi, I’ve just never been a sushi roll guy. I think I like more of the sushi that’s just fish and rice, not so much the roll.
Bottom is 3 cuts of Wagyu - (in order) Kainomi - tenderloin, tongue and skirt

The service is HNL-HND but 76 doesn’t do any of the other HND legs anymore. So it’s a 7 day rotation for 3rd pilot (we call them B lines since we don’t have relief lines here like United, but essentially it’s like a relief line) on that leg. Either start with DH to HNL or HND. Fly 3 legs back and forth, 24-30 hr layovers. DH home from opposite of what you did in beginning. You LAX 75/76? What’s the routing to do twice in one week (eg, what kinda trip?)

It’s like McDonald’s…. It’s consistently the same… for some that is enough (*raises hand* because I think it’s delicious) and for others it’s just like “meh” because it’s like McDonald’s… consistently the same.Is that ramen from Ichiran? Love that place. I know there's better ramen spots in Tokyo but for some reason I can't explain Ichiran has always been my favorite.
What about kids and school?
I’ve been taking our vaca during spring break which is the first week of April. It’s pricey.
Which place is this? I’ll have to give it a try.Milan (MXP)
Usually I’m more of a pasta guy in Italy. But they swore on this pizza and I know why now.
Looking forward to heading back next week.
