Layover food

Which place is this? I’ll have to give it a try.
La Magolfa
La Magolfa - Milan, MI

In the canal area. We went to La Vineria about a 5 minute walk away.

They make their own wine and olive oil - top notch stuff. We got a bottle there then went out to dinner and stopped by again on the way out and got a couple bottles and olive oil to bring home. I highly suggest both, but there’s also a ton of bars on that strip in the canal area.

La Magolfa is ridiculously cheap too. Pilot special!!

Yeah I’ve heard people call it that too. It’s so simple but yet so good. If I don’t go there for dinner on arrival I almost always now go for lunch before the flight back.

I like that you can customize it too. Planning a lot of time in the hotel by yourself? All the garlic and super spicy. Have to work? A more plain recipe is still pretty good.

I haven’t had it since Nagoya last summer. @mattc206 and I tried to hit the one in HKG a few months back but there was a line and we were hangry.

Ate both breakfast and lunch at his establishments. This is a falafel salad from Goldie.

I see Delta guys are laying over in Alexandria (VA) on your DCA overnights. Hit your boy up for suggestions.

I love the DC overnights in the burbs. I once wandered around Tyson corner for like an hour going the wrong way before I ordered us an uber to get home because the route was too confusing, trying to get across all the malls and such. FA's love the shopping though

Tysons has great Persian restaurants. There are a bunch of really great asian restaurants within Uber distance as well.

Damn that's a lot of meals in one!

We had another meal before that too 😂😂. What can i say, we like to eat.

Sun Chong also in NOLA. Was pretty impressed by this concept - korean and cajun fusion. Im a bit of a purist so I typically avoid fusion restaurants by this one landed really well. Gumbo dumplings, bulgogi and grits, and a spicy seafood ramen pasta. Lots of peach soju to wash it down as well.
