Lawsuit over scab lists

Now, how the heck can a union manage to almost flawlessly maintain a blacklist for beyond life, but the TSA can't keep a no-fly list that's existed for seven years!?

So until a few days ago you were a scab?

How so? I've worked at an IBT carrier, an ALPA carrier (soon to become two ALPA carriers), and an independent union carrier. Where was the non-union carrier in that list?

What about all the guys that worked at Colgan? They were scabs until a few weeks ago? Wow! I didn't know that.

Under some people's definition, yes. I certainly didn't consider them to be so, however.

OMG! Leave GoJets alone! I hate the tough guy attitude most regional F/O's (who shouldn't even be worried about them) have on the internet. I have yet to see a regional F/O go up to a gojet pilot and do anything to defend the "unions honor" or whatever you guys are always crying about. If there are those that can't stand gojet then shut up about it! We don't need your personal feelings when they aren't called for. They fly a crj700 you fly a saab, or crj/erj who cares?

Back to the original topic:

If there is a list of scabs (there is) it can be denied unless there is evidence of a paper trail. In order to get one you need to know a pilot who has one. The internet was/is too risky. But gojet pilots are not scabs, there may actualy be some who are but the great majority are not because the don't meet the requirements of being a scab.

I don't get it I'm looking over the scab lists and I see a lot of people from different airlines. Is everyone pointing fingers at Gojet because they are new?

yep, new as a subsidiary to Trans States. Most scabs are overseas so with no one to pick the regional pilots started the gojet drama, as they moved up to bigger and better airlines they forget about the situation but the remains of skewed reasoning stayed with their old companies and now you have regional F/O's saying retarded things like "not in my jumpseat" or "alter-ego jets", really mr. first year F/O? I had one of our CFI's come back to our flightschool after a couple of months of flying with colgan, you had to hear him explain the whole gojet/tsa situation it was embarassing to say the least!

Hell, there are over 15 airlines on this scab lists that I'm looking at, why don't people talk about them?

There was an improper scab list published on another webboard that led to a lawsuit. And a judgement adjudicating the named parties.

That being said, the Master Scab List, is a very interesting document. (I lost mine...hint, hint .pdf).

Im telling you they don't care about them unless they are at gojets, it's kinda like how people in a certain race hate other people in their same race/ethnicity. It's pointless

We do, just ask that CAL pilot that one of my CA (We have a few old EAL guys that keep a copy of the list with them) toll to take a hike.

I care who's a true scab on the master scab list.

I was not fond of any Freedom "A-lister" or someone that left TSA to get a quick upgrade at GoJets, or someone that left 5Y for a quick upgrade at AABO (nee` AACS). However, they aren't scabs. Those initial cadres probably would scab, but unless they are on the Master list, they aren't scabs.

It ain't just the internet, you should have heard some of the things I've heard captains say about GoJets pilots.

They were never getting a ride on our planes. Ever.

IIRC someone in the Airline forum mentioned that the scab list isn't maintained by ALPA and is illegal for them to do so......the one floating around was supposedly compiled by a non-ALPA individual pilot? Vaguely remember that.

THat's right true scabs are the objective with these lists, but most go for all gojet flight crew. I can understand that the A listers of freedom and at gojets are morons and completely inconsiderate to solidarity. But now you got low time CFI's that are going to go jet withy no idea as to what is what. I remeber going into the pilot shop the other day the kid behind the register said he wants to goto piedmont as soon as he gets his multi comm and I said "dude that was like a year ago", then he said 'well there always colgan then' (everyone in LI goes to colgan) and I had to roll my eyes

Funny you say that because talking to the guys in the crashpad it is the low time guys that know the whole story and just don't care, and for the most part the street CA's didn't have a clue.

I'm not a regional FO. Haven't been in quite a long time.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff? "The list" can usually be found with a google search. Many ALPA reps can also provide you a copy of one if you ask. I'm not sure if they did on this last hiring round, but the UAL MEC used to hand out Jepp-size copies to all newhires during basic indoc.

The current "Master Scab List" is maintained by a regular line pilot (who I think doesn't even work at an ALPA carrier now). However, he compiled his list from the original lists that were published by each MEC. ALPA has published plenty of scab lists over the years. You can see a picture of the first one in Flying the Line, Vol 1. It was published on the front page of Air Line Pilot Magazine way back in the '30s. There is nothing at all illegal about a union publishing a scab list. During the NWA AMFA strike a few years ago, AMFA actually posted pictures of the scabbing mechanics on their website.

Yep, that's why they're street captains. Their last job could have been flying Navajos in fairbanks, which is so completely far removed from the airline world that proto-scab and other awkward neologisms aren't even in their vocabulary. Nor are they likely to care.

One in the crashpad cares a lot. He want one list with TSA.
