We were just through there an hour or two earlier. Did a couple turns holding on the localizer waiting for a small cell to move off final, but it was a relatively benign evening while we were there.

That's an expensive way to get yourself out of a job. I don't hear about Pt 91/135 operators running out of gas too often... I assume something like this haunts your career for a while?
Talked to some friends that work at PWK, said that props were feathered and it was very quiet landing. And of course the media is calling this guy a "hero"!
