JetBlue Window to Reopen

I'm just now coming up on two years. I'm only 200 numbers away from the most junior CA now. I could probably hold it sometime next year if the trend continues, but whatevs. I'm lazy and don't want to commute, so I bid the A320 and got a nice, cushy new 2 year equipment lock. Bonus is by the time my equipment lock is up, maybe I can hold 320 CA or a LINE as a CA on the 190. Either way, I'm not doing the crashpad thing. I'll probably wind up renting an apartment or splitting one with somebody if it comes down to it. Or I may just stay in the right seat and drive to work.

Up to 2100, that is amazing, and you're right, QOL is huge by not commuting.

According to some over in APC (Airline Pilots Crying), the fairs were beneficial as they produced interviews and hiring. ERAU has been disappointing in recent years (I didn't attend 2013) as recruiters were mostly looking for engineers, mechanics, and flight ops people, and it's geared toward students. What is JetBlue going to do with a 250 hr CFI?

Is the Cape/JBU bridge still a thing?

FWIW I had no internal recs, no job fairs, just a regular line pilot not check pilot, never in the training dept, no volunteer experience listed, one failed check ride (MEL), 8500 TT, white male, and I was called for an interview. I don't think they are looking for anything special. I have no idea how my application stood out.

Going in on the 30th by chance?

There seems to be a lot of confusion on the other site on whether or not jetBlue will be accepting resumes at ERAU this year. Does anyone know if they will or are they going there for their internships and gateway programs?

With the hiring window closed, you've got a better shot if you've already got an active application. If you missed the window, they'll tell you to re-apply when the window re-opens. If you've got an existing app in, I'd try to go to get some face time.

The ERAU vendor page indicates that a pilot hiring Manager will be present. Just curious if anyone took in the Prescott Fair?

I'm curious what the lowest total time (non-military) that anybody has heard of somebody getting hired?

I know a guy from my Crashpad at XJT that got picked up with no PIC and just under 2000 total. He had a blue dart though.

So you're saying there's a chance, haha. Well that's interesting, I was going to guess and say 3500 with 4500 being more competitive. Thanks for the info!

at1024- A blue dart is something the company used to randomly hand out to it's pilots (not sure if they are still giving them out). Whoever they give it to gets a guaranteed interview assuming they have the posted mins (1500TT ATP etc).

What is a blue dart?

Couldn't resist.
From my understanding it's an invitation to an interview that their pilots are able to send out.... or something along those lines

The Blue Dart program still exists, but not everybody gets blue darts. I'm not certain how they are handed out.

From what I hear, you talk to one of the Chiefs and they MIGHT be able to arrange it.

I'd say anyone under 3500 knows someone that knows someone or is in a Gateway program. I got in with around 4000, and I was one of the lower time guys in my class. Only a couple of guys in my class DIDN'T have TPIC time.

Rumor has it it's a raffle you can choose to participate in when they open it up for one to give out.
