JetBlue Window to Reopen

Interesting. I was kind of skeptical bc I would think that making that kind of requirement would be a downfall for a major airline when at min 50 percent of the employees commute.

I think more than 50% of our pilots commute, though Boston probably has fewer commuters, percentage wise, than JFK. I'm Boston based (officially), and live in Savannah, GA. I was a happy camper when we started Savannah service this year!

That's great!

Good luck to everybody who applied including myself. :-) Does anybody know when the next time jetBlue will be at a job fair?

I don't think where you live is a big deal. I know guys that live in TX and commute to JFK. I know several guys that live in MSP and DTW that commute. There's even a couple that live in MEM and don't wanna work for FedEx. Several people will tell you that you won't get the call or the job if you don't live near a domicile, but based on the people I know, that's not true. The number of CVG commuters is off the charts because we hired so many Comair guys. Basically, if you want to work here and meet the mins, apply and work your butt off trying to network. Do your research on the company BEFORE you get the call to interview, and it'll save you some stress. Once you do get the call, I HIGHLY recommend Emerald Coast Consulting for interview prep. Everyone I've talked to that did the prep from them for the interview here got the job. If you don't at least make it into Phase II, you get your money back anyway.

Digressing a little bit, I am still wondering when B6 would select a central/mid-western locale to set up operations. CVG would be a nice target. (*this concludes the a.net moment)

Ohio is hardly a flyover state. Take that from the guy who lives in the dead center of flyover country. ;-)

Anybody know where to upload PDFs of your resume, LOR, etc? It says you will be able to upload them later in the app, but I never saw a place for it. Also, it asks for documentation of any failed checkrides. What kind of documentation are the looking for?

Resume/cover letter section came immediately after getting into the application.

Lastly, there is a final section that allows the upload of up-to 10 (if memory serves me correctly) "accompanying" documents. But I know for sure the cover letter and resume came very early in the process because the system attempts to draw work history and education information from the resume you upload.

I found it now. Does anyone know how small the files have to be to upload? I have tried uploading 255k PDFs and it won't accept them.

This is a pay it forward website(which is something I love) and a moment for those who are applying. I'm good friends with one of the guys who pulls the apps here at the BlueJuice factory for interviews. If you have applied and are having issues PM and I will see what answers I can get for you. I can in no way get you an interview(directly) but can put you in touch with the guys/gals who deal with that process. Those who want to be here, I'll help out as much as I can. I'm sure @kellwolf and @PhilosopherPilot amongst others are willing to help out too.

Can you ask him if they are planning to pull apps with 0 TPIC? Low PIC?

@Gonzo. I have 2 friends that started earlier this year that had 0 turbine PIC and very little PIC. Their application was strong in different areas.

If anyone happens to be in Orlando, I'll be happy to show you around the training center, including a sim if one is open.
