JC Cyclists.

Being poor sucks.
This...
I just found another way to dump money into bikes. I did a cyclocross clinic last night.
Only a minimal amount of mud, I didn't crash, puke or die, so apparently I'm doing it wrong....
I did get heckled by a bunch of kids with cowbells, and got free beer afterwards, so I'm in.

That is awesome. Sounds like a blast.

I said 29er, not commuter.

People that ride single speed 29ers aren't hipsters, they're awesome. Hipsters ride single speed clapped out commuters.

Coolest Vid ever!

One of these days when the house is paid off or I have an amazing job, and my wife and kids have bikes, I am gonna get another mountainbike and then possibly cross. I have never tried cross before.

Here's the latest on Hincapie, they are going to charge for the kit design/setup since we haven't really been using them after we switched to Sugoi. We just don't buy enough from them any more for them to waive the fee. I apologize for the delay, they were busy opening a new shop and at Interbike for the past month or so. Probably the cheapest option with no minimum order numbers would be Champ Sys, some of the prices could potentially be offset by sponsors if we could get 'em.

While we're at it, here is something for your viewing pleasure, turn up your speakers!

That vid was awesome man! The anouncers were the... well you know....

Have you ever owned Champ System apparell, I have no doubt they are fine just havent dealt with them before? I am upgrading in an OCT 24 next month so I am not gonna be able to make any headway on this for a couple of months. Anybody had any luck talking to Doug about getting ATP or another site advertiser to sponsor for logo space? If anyone wants to take the initiative before I can to get the jerseys rolling feel free. I won't be able to start on anything till DEC.

I have a Champ Sys kit, it's not bad. It's a step below their top of the line, I would say it's comparable to Hincapie stuff. My Hincapie jersey is rather heavy for the hot weather here and the bibs are decent but not the nicest I own. They are both their top of the line stuff.

Good luck with upgrade, I just ordered a new bike. I sold my CAAD9 and went for the SuperSix Evo SRAM Red, the only color I could get a deal on was the black. I love the black, but am not a fan of the neon accents. I think it comes in at 14 pounds stock. Now I just need to sell my Zipps so I can afford this thing! This isn't my bike in the first pic, but it shows the neon on the frame and components.

Ohh SRAM Red! Nifty. I really like the SRAM Force group I have on my Orbea. Do do you know how much weight going with Red saves when compared to Force?

I have Force on my SuperSix and had it on my CAAD9, I'm also a fan. With a standard bottom bracket the weight difference is only about 8 or 9 ounces. The Cannondales both have BB30 bottom brackets and I already have a Hollowgram si crank on my SuperSix that I'm going to switch over to the new bike, then the savings will be about 13.4 ounces.

Force is arguably the best bang for your buck groupset out there. With Red you are sacrificing a bit of durability with the front derailleur, cassette, and chain. You swap those back to Force (like I might be doing because I'm somewhat hard on my bikes) and a good portion of the weight savings are negated. The only difference I can tell after riding both groupsets is the "feel" of the right shifter is a bit more refined. I got the red because that's the cheapest option offered on the bike.

Anybody riding this winter, How is the weather treating you Mainers. My life is about to end with upgrade....

I ride through the winter, have lots of tips to stay warm that I can spell out later. Snow riding is uber fun on the mtb!

On another note my new bike build has begun, just ordered SRAM XX for the new ride. Can't wait to get this sucka built!

What are you building man? I remember my MTB days, the snow was a blast.

Whats the deal with the 29ers. Are they better than 26" rims, I have never ridden anything but a 26" so I have no expertise on the matter.

What do you guys think about 2x10 20 speed MTB vs 3x9 27 speeds? I feel like the 20 speeds are becoming a lot more popular, but to me it seems like you loose a lot of ratio for the little bit of weight savings. Again I have never ridden a MTB that didn't have 3 rings up front.
