JC Cyclists.

Did the same route again this morning with the goal of shaving a bit of time off and boy did I ever. Last time I rode I did the route in 1:20:20 minus around 2 and a half minutes to get to and from my house. Here is this morning... http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/61468228. Did it in 1:14:40, This is time on the route not including to and from my house so its only about a 4 minute difference but it made me feel pretty good. Going for another 30 seconds to a minute next time.

Where'd you run? Lake to Lake trail? I work right next to it - PM me if you're doing an overnight sometime!

Will do man, we stay at the Comfort Inn off of Engle Rd. I run down to the end of Engle and get on the green way there. Run until its time to turn back, Then I catch another four lane. Forget the name of it, back toward the hotel

Anyone gonna watch the US ProCylcing challenge this week? I am gonna try to catch as much as I can when I am in town!
Def. gonna be there for the final stage since it leaves from my hometown. I am glad we have a pro cycling race here in Colorado again, should be pretty sweet.

I completed my first Century today!!! It was the Reston Century in Northern Virginia. In summary: I was very hot and then very wet, it sucked but I had tons of fun.

Oddly enough, this year's route is not available electronically. It was withheld until the day of the event, and disseminated only with hundreds of paper copies. Strange. However, if I do come across it on mapmyride I'll send it your way.

Man I wish. Gotta head to SD tomorrow with the wife to visit her family, I'm gonna miss the whole thing and the first decent airshow at my home airport in 15 years. Sometimes being married sucks!

Thread resurrection time. We had a MTB festival at a local Boy Scout campground, which is the only time MTBs are allowed within the exclusion zone of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Got to demo this bad boy on a few miles of singletrack: S_works.jpg
Even with the fork set for someone probably 40lb less than me, it was pretty amazing to see how the other half rides.... It costs more than my car, motorcycle, and all my (old) bikes combined. Tried to trade my car + kid, but they wouldn't go for it :(.
Adding S-Works to the post-mega-millions purchases, just after the Beech 18 :).

That is a nice bike. I'm going to try and get one with the cheaper components next year. They make an XT mid range bike in the mid 2k. Also trek makes a nice 29er for under 2k in alum.

Santa Cruz Tallboy....Drooool.
My next mountain bike.

That is a hot ride for sure. I demo'd a Tracer 29er last week and fell in love. Although it was a sweet ride, I think I'm sticking with the 26" Tracer instead this time around. Current ride is an older Tracer which is amazing. For me, the 29er wasn't quite nimble enough as I am more of a freeride'ish type of rider who likes the occasional Super-D race as well as long all day grinds in the hills. I think the 29er could do it, put not quite totally sold. Maybe a few more rides would change my mind though.

What you need is a full rigid single speed 29er for those days that you want to be awesome.
