Help with landing flare

I'd say the general teaching method is to look down at the end of the runway. Personally, I don't do that. I'm not sure why, I've always looked just ahead of the airplane about 100-200 yards. Then transition it a bit further as the nose comes up more. It's always worked and I still do it today. I tried the end of the runway thing when I was a CFI and I didn't like it. Probably because I'm stuck in my habits now. Find what's comfortable for you, but if it's not working don't keep doing it. You wanna break that "muscle memory" early if it's a bad habit.
