Furlough Estimates

You should bid back to DTW and move to Ypsilanti. It's SOOOOOO cheap and close to the airport we could be neighbors WHY DON'T YOU WANT TO LIVE HERE?!

Ha!

I could always live in the shanty at Salton Sea and drive into LA too! SOOOOOO CHEAAAAAAPZ! Then I could hoard money and still be dead at 66.49 years like the average airline pilot.

*Real stat, folks!

What does $500-900k get you in Seattle? More or less what you would say get in AZ.?

Deals are getting better in the city. In the area where I’m living they are getting much worse.

Turns out no one wants to live in a condo downtown where you can’t use the gym or pool facilities because ‘Rona.

Also doesn’t help you can’t go see a show or go out to eat or go to the art museum or anything really.

Plus that bum going poop next to his cardboard box on your sidewalk might have the ‘Rona as well.

Salton Sea area. Beautiful Niland, California. Take a look at it sometime. Could be a set for The Walking Dead series.

Back on topic. Our company says, "We have cut capacity by 30% going into the fall. While staffing isn’t exactly tied to capacity, you can assume that we are overstaffed in many areas at that same rate. It’s imperative that we bring our Employee numbers down, voluntarily, to correspond with this decline in demand.

We now must take more aggressive voluntary steps to reduce headcount and try to solve our overstaffing in an effort to save jobs—and our Company"

So ~30%?

What additional attempts have they made to get people to walk voluntarily?

Why was the first attempt so unsuccesful?

It won't be 30% if your union is worth anything. Any union who isn't creating credit caps and lowing ALV down to the bare minimum isn't actually interested in saving jobs, and that's just a starting point.

Why would SW be basing staffing on fall 2020 when everyone else is looking to summer 2021 and beyond?
