Furlough Estimates

Hah that’s interesting but it’s already happened and we refer to them as a domestic terrorist event. If these armed bearded men start shooting said firearms then the lawmen will react accordingly and the event may be categorized accordingly. If an ISIS terrorist supporter wants to protest on the steps of a state capital then so be it. They will be heavily observed too. The big difference I see is that the random angry American men (non ISIS) at these rally’s are upset about a few principals and are not likely to kill en mass to get there whereas ISIS is a known terrorist group that just want to cuts heads off of anyone that doesn’t want to be part of their global caliphate; there is no middle a ground. White nationalism is one of the least important national issues that exist in the USA. I mean, doesn’t the head KKK honcho live in a $1000 trailer home? C’mon now.
I’m interested to read the spin that is brewing. Spin away gentlemen.

@Dergdonesn't have to be wearing gang colors and carrying an AR to be gunned down.

He or I could just be jogging through a neighborhood and "minding our own damned business" and be gunned down.

And the thing has bounced from county to county because no one wants to indict the “good, law-abiding citizen” who was just trying to protect his neighborhood, against that menacing black jogger.

Nah, still none of your damned business. But yes, I do quite like it when lawmakers are intimidated. They should live that way all the time, scared to death of their constituents so that they do what we want instead of what they want. An armed and angry citizenry leads to a polite legislature
Or we could vote in people to represent out interests, and vote them out when they do not.

Interesting read on AA’s financial situation. Article insinuates that in order to survive, AA is going to have to restructure significantly in Ch11. Likely shrink and close its unprofitable hubs and become about a 50% smaller airline.
One dudes opinion on well documented issues. Either air travel comes back or it doesn’t and that’s pretty much all that matters to anyone.

Only the last decade but I grew up near Ann Arbor. I miss the good food, ridiculous city ordinances, and referring to it as “50 square miles surrounded by reality”. The UP is a nice place to have a summer retirement home/camp at. Less chance of getting COVID, friendly people, no traffic, and great outdoor rec opportunities.

Where in the UP, my bf is from Ishpeming.

Eff them. They doesn't run the airline.
Lots of troubles airlines had was due to trying to please these people. They can pound sand for awhile.

Coming back to this topic from earlier in the thread, unfortunately it seems this was wishful thinking. Warren Buffett announced yesterday that he has sold his entire stake in all 4 airlines and has exited the industry. He was one of, if not the, single largest shareholders in each of the big 4.

The same day AAL stock got a target price slash down to $1. Going to be interesting tomorrow morning for airline stocks.

Seems like more white children have been murdered by white folk than whites killing black people inside church (only one incident in US history?). Shall I start posting the endless stories of whites being murdered by blacks too? People unjustifiably kill people regardless of race all the time.

Yeah, but us white people want to go to Cracker Barrel. We are being repressed!

Saturated fat, cholesterol, and COVID — CB is one of the last places I want to go under normal circumstances. Just read up on what goes into those yummy biscuits.

White nationalism is one of the least important national issues that exist in the USA.

Sounds like something Heinrich Brüning might have said around 1932.

It’s not the fact that there has ONLY been one, as if that wasn’t one too many, it’s the attitudes and more subtle actions behind that line of thinking that don’t always end in a bloodbath between the pews. Your response reeks of a term that I know will set you off, and close your mind to any further debate, so I’ll refrain.

It's a show of force. Basically sends a message saying "we're here, we're not going away, and we're prepared to defend ourselves if you get out of line." It strikes me as similar to a freedom of navigation exercise.

I, for one, am happy to see it. There are certain lawmakers out there who are not acting in good faith.

Is it a show of force though? No matter how much ammo or guns that you have the Federal government always has more. They also have tanks and planes/drones and helicopters with missiles and bombs. As evident with Waco, it's hard for a cult or even a militia to think that they can truly fight the federal government on equal footing with weapons.

The best message is probably a peaceful mass rally/protest sans weapons like the Women's Day march. Large crowds all united against something/someone. Which is why they always seek to divide and conquer. That is the true power of the people when were acting in a cohesive manner. The bourgeoisie and the politicians get scared when the masses unite and talks and or change typically occur quickly. The one thing all those in power really fear is losing said power. And politicians are all about self-preservation/interest and maintaining their power and the gravy train.
