As crazy as it sounds airlines (and businesses in general) can’t be too attractive on paper because then they become a target for a hostile takeover.
To me, it’s not crazy, it’s common sense.

According to NYU, it's not going to last more than 72 hours on any surface. So if you do need to decon something, just leave it alone for 3 days. You do know that the virus doesn’t survive on surfaces that long right? Most viruses don’t. Even on clothes that’s a far stretch. Sure it survived on some surfaces under ideal conditions but that is far from the norm.
But I thought corporations are people?Okay you guys do realize that the financial aspect of running a multi billion dollar corporation is different than a household right? There isn’t some FDIC bank account that companies can put billions of dollars in for a rainy day.
They have to either use it as working cash, reinvest it in the company, or return it to the shareholders if reinvestment doesn’t provide a decent yield. Companies also have the ability to quickly raise cash in the form of debt that us normies dont have. With the successes of the last few years all the majors have billions in unencumbered assets they can borrow against. This is how they have been staying afloat and aren’t already in chapter 11.
I think stock buybacks are a horrible way to return capital to shareholders but this narrative that every company must be able to survive complete economic collapse for months on end is pretty ridiculous. Airlines aren’t Apple or Berkshire Hathaway, we must acknowledge that there might be no one to blame in this situation.

The works only if the wife/husband doesn't go into your bag and mix it with the other dirty laundry. Then other family members come into contact with the laundry basket.
Soap basically dissolves it (the virus), so they’re fine either way.
I did have to laugh at the comment suggesting clothes too toxic for the family washing machine, but totally ok to take them to the public laundymat, ha ha.
I would add taking your close directly to the laundry and washing them. It may help not mixing your work laindry with the family's laundry. That way you're not contaminating the laundry basket.
The election is one huge thing we have going for our industry. If you think Trump will allow 10,000’s of thousands of pilots to be furloughed right before the election you’re crazy. If he wins he won’t allow it after. If someone else wins they don’t want that happening as they take office.
I'm sorry. I can't let this go.
CLOTHES.

My retirement accounts are fine, but I take some chances with the taxable "fun money" investments.
You sound pretty miserable about 90 percent of the time. Being that pessimistic sounds exhausting.
If we actually believed in the “creative destruction” of capitalism places that didn’t keep cash on hand to cover emergencies would die and learn their lesson. Instead we enable bad behavior.

Don’t you know who I think I am?I really don’t think we register.
So we shouldn’t treat them like people?Unless you want to change laws to prohibit hostile takeovers, and give executes much greater latitude in what their fiduciary obligation to shareholders really means, then this can never happen. And that’s probably a good thing. A company that leaves six months of operating expenses sitting around in cash is insanity.

Where do you live that wild iguanas are roaming around? Did you put him in the washing machine? Thanks for the correction. I'm multitasking over here.
This was my situation at that moment. View attachment 52688
That's a 2.5ft iguana....in my pool.
