Furlough Estimates

Unless this talks about Bill Gates microchipping us and using the 5G network to track us... count me out. Vaccines are only for sheep anyway. Get sick like a real person and your body will naturally fight everything off. Can I still be upset about a furlough if I believe this? ;)

I, too, want my blood to turn in to porridge and be at a higher risk of stroke. It's the American way. Apparently.

Best forecast for a return to 2019 travel demand is 2024, says the Economist, so you needn’t take my word for it.

Incidentally, I strongly agree with an end to slot waivers as well.

YOU KNOW THE ROTHSCHILD FAMILY OWNS THAT???

Yes, 21% of it, along with a bunch of other surnames you'd recognize

Silence

Just another example of normalized anti semitism experienced on the line.

Yep, and Zuckerbörger pays for NewsHour. Somehow it still manages to produce, you know...news.

Im lost. Is this a conversation you had with someone at work?

I get defensive about the economist. Anyone whose read it for more than 6months who has some sort of, "oh crap the economist was right" happen 3x weekly can attest, theyre smart folks who seek to educate.

You do have to get used to the stupid wrong way the brits spell some words and liberal means free market not 'libruls!©.

Paywall. Can someone post it?
Essentially they are mentioning 2024 as a possible recovery date (of europe) in an arricle reporting on the general condition of airtravel with a focus on englands concern over tourists and nationals returning from spain.

Europe will recover later than the US on air travel side is my imagination, and not because america is number one or the covid is a secret mooslim plot to overthrow heir emperor trump. The US has about 4x the daily flights europe has, and we are always a leading indicator of travel.

I've had more or less the same conversation actually. My standard angry eye roll of "reality has a well-documented liberal bias" combined with "that's a wonderful dog whistle you're sounding over there, Your Captaincy."

Oh for sure. They do get certain things wrong of course, but they're right far more than they're wrong.

My favorite thing about the way that Brits write is that they refer to a company as a plural, not a singular, as in "SouthernJets Innanashunal have been blocking seats absent a government mandate" and the like. I've appropriated this and it mostly #triggers people.

"THIS WHOLE THING IS A LIBERAL CONSPIRACY"

"Really, because I am a part of this conspiracy you speak of - you would think I would have heard of our secret plan at least once"

When they say a recovery date, they are talking about a return to 2019 levels. Like I said before, travel doesn’t have to be at that level for airlines to make a profit. Delta has reported an annual profit for the last 10 years until this one. The way i see it, we only have to get back to 2010 passenger loads.
