FBO service

Honestly though, rather than throwing a few bucks at our home line guys, I would much more prefer to take them out and grab a burger and beer, or coffee in the morning. Holy run on sentence.

Also though, we have the best line guys.

Oh dang.

"Our plane broke. I need a one way rental car for the passengers. They'll drop it off at Teterboro tomorrow."
"OK, and when will they be returning it here?"
:smackhead

As long as she was hot, what does it matter??

The bold is what I am really having trouble with. "You" can't stand up for yourself anymore. I worded the survey in such a way that it wasn't calling out any one line worker in particular but the overall level of service we receive during the "wee hours". The boss did care, he wants me to apologize....

Don't know the specifics about your boss and their relationship with you and the FBO, but I've had some experience with picking battles. Here's how it has almost always played out for me...it doesn't matter who is right or who did what. If you make waves and it catches the boss off guard (be it that the boss couldn't reasonably expect it or they are just aloof all the time) the boss will focus on you first and sometimes even ignore the real problem.

One time, a coworker offered to do a task instead of me and I obliged. He didn't say that it was because he wanted to scram right at the end of shift, no matter what. We had one task cancel and at the end of the shift, it left me with 3 tasks that were technically mine, of which I didn't think I could do on time, partly because of scheduling. My coworker refuses to help and leaves and I complain on the basis that things could have been delayed. I got in trouble because I didn't do my fair share of the work. Not to mention the fact that he offered and one task dropped.

Another time I respectfully disagreed with a boss about a writeup and the boss went to their boss and complained. I had to apologize for being insubordinate, which I did with complete sincerity. That was simply stunning to my boss, which spoke volumes of their intent and lack of awareness in transparency.

IMO, it's not necessarily the fact that one finds themselves in predicaments such as these. It's how they handle them. Your personality defines you and really shouldn't be masked to make people happy, besides the fact that it's unnatural and obvious. People tend to really appreciate honestly so you're really left with how you react to what is thrown at you and how you handle adverse reactions. It's kinda like not being apologetic for your opinions, but how your actions affect others.

In other words, it's them, not you and if you find a way to naturally handle it, you will not have any trouble with your career.

Why can't I?

Why does that matter? You have had an opinion about ALPA at times and shared, why can't I do the same?

Because Jimmy is amazing and you aren't?

As a pilot, what do you expect from a FBO if you call and ask to have your airplane pulled out and fueled.

If it's Jet Aviation at TEB- I expect that when we get there the airplane will still be parked offline and not be fueled. I haven't encountered a worse FBO anywhere in the country and I've been to a LOT of them.

Anywhere else- I would expect it to be pulled out and fueled.

Seek your entertainment elsewhere. Your need to comment on everything I post is a little creepy and the mustache doesn't help.

Were you being sarcastic in the post Mike referenced?

My disdain for such regulation on my business does not mean that I willfully break those rules.

You do understand that the regulations in the airline business are written with blood, do you?
