FBO service

Ask him exactly what he wants you to apologize for. Apologize for responding honestly to a survey? Apologize for being concerned that the company is not getting its dollar's worth? Ask him what is to be gained by an insincere apology obviously made under pressure. Ask him if this is the support you can continue to expect when it REALLY matters.
.....OR does he want to to apologize for the late takeoff because the asshat lineman didn't get your plane pulled and fueled as requested?

At home base? Not gonna happen.

And last I checked, "dumping lavs" IS in the line service tech job description. I'm not tipping you for doing your job, unless its a HORRIFIC nuclear butt explosion in a honey bucket...that's worth a $20.

Do you fly a Gulfstream now?

Let me guess, you don't tip the hotel van drivers for carrying your bags???

I always made a point out of loading my own bags so that the crappy $2 (one for me, one for the F/O, cause those guys DEFINITELY couldn't afford to lose a buck) I handed the driver didn't absolutely force me to take a warm bath and open my wrists.

And you complain about not being paid enough...

Oh, I think I'm paid pretty reasonably at my current gig. But at the one where I was the Big Cheese handing out tips? Probably somewhere around 2nd or 3rd year F/O pay at a decent regional. But at least I got to be on the road 25 days a month!

So you take out not getting paid enough on someone else who busts their ass to allow you to do your job?

In 6 years on this job, not one van driver has ever carried my bag. I'm a pilot, not a paraplegic. I do tip a couple of bucks for the ride from the hotel or airline terminal, however. To me, that's a little beyond the regular job description of line service tech.

But thanks for playing.

Why is that so hard for you to believe? I don't even let bellmen carry my bags at the resorts on the islands we visit. It's not about being a cheap ass. It's about doing something I'm perfectly capable of doing myself.

And what does a Gulfstream have to do with it?

You love to comment how the Gulfstream guys act in a superior way so I thought you may have made a move over to one.
