Ok I have gotten a little rest so I will post one more write up on Eagle.
First the paper work. Give yourself time. I gave myself a week between scheduling the interview and interview date. FOLLOW their directions, and pay attentions. there are a lot of details.
Some of the documents you will need.
1 Driving records for every state you have held a drivers license. certified.
2. passport
3.fcc license. (get it here
http://www.airlinepilotmentor.com/pilot-training/FCC-License.aspx)
4.HS diploma, or college transcripts (certified)
5. all log books, with all endorsements and check rides flagged
6. copies of all documents and ID's and last 4 of pages of logbooks
Their instructions are great just follow them, they fly you in the day before and they have a discount rate at the candlewood suites. If the link they give you says no rooms available at that rate, just call them and reserve a room over the phone.
The hotel is like 3 minutes away from Eagle HQ.
The interview was pretty straight forward, as has been discussed. I didn't feel that "trying to make you feel comfortable" attitude many spoke of. They were all very professional but they seemed to be very down to business. Maybe it was due to the company email they received yesterday on the hiring that will be needed. these guys are going to be very busy for a while!
they randomly pull you out for one on one interviews. HR, Technical and sim. The only NON capt you will speak with is the HR guy. Even the guy who comes to reception and handles paper work and finger prints is a Captain. WATCH WHAT YOU SAY! I was told people lost their PRE-offer in the room they do your final out processing at the end of the day. He said people sometimes get "TO RELAXED"
I did not even know this guy was a pilot until he said he had flown out of the airport I work at.
YOU ARE BEING WATCHED ALL DAY. Be friendly and professional.
I will add this. I went to sim pretty early in the day. There were a few guys in my group who just hit it off right away and we all talked like we were old friend. I got "busted" briefing them on the profile! By the sim CAPT. I thought i was toast. Turns out the two guys who went home sat by themselves and did not talk to anyone.
Not saying let yourself get caught briefing each other, but I do think they like seeing people who can get along with "strangers". I would avoid "war stories". keep it professional. Don't talk about barrel rolling a 172.
About mid day most of us had two of three phases done. and they sent us to lunch. You receive a $6 voucher. for the cafeteria. Have a couple buck available most of us went over by a couple dollars. after lunch you finish your last phase and wait some more. We did have one guy who only finished 1 phase before lunch and was the last guy in the building when we left. he did make it! so don't worry if that happens to you.
I will not go into details about interview questions. As I said I have a great gouge, if you want it pm me with your email and I will send it to you!
Good luck!
