I know it sucks, but places like Burlington coat factory have suits for as little as $100. I would suggest black suit, white shirt, red tie. nice shined shoes. Appearance does matter.
Also, I had a friend interview today. he got sent home for a discrepancy between his airline apps and his pre-interview packet. as desperate as they are for bodies in airplanes, they will still send you home. check your paperwork, check it again, then check it a couple more times. even worse, we had a guy sent home at the END of indoc, he apparently didn't disclose something from 25 years ago, they found out he got a one way ticket home.
it's simple really. yes maybe they're anal about their paperwork. But you're asking them for the key's to a multi-million dollar jet with 50 people sitting behind you, and you're responsible for them. if you really cannot handle a little paperwork, how are you gonna handle the responsibility of being the guy up front with the controls. :dunno:
