Eagle Interview

Hey guys. It's been 6 days since I received the email about reviewing my app and no word. They asked me to email them if I haven't been contacted in 7 days, which I will do tomorrow, but I am wondering if I should expect the "thanks but no thanks" reply. Any insight? Thanks.

I know it sucks, but places like Burlington coat factory have suits for as little as $100. I would suggest black suit, white shirt, red tie. nice shined shoes. Appearance does matter.

Also, I had a friend interview today. he got sent home for a discrepancy between his airline apps and his pre-interview packet. as desperate as they are for bodies in airplanes, they will still send you home. check your paperwork, check it again, then check it a couple more times. even worse, we had a guy sent home at the END of indoc, he apparently didn't disclose something from 25 years ago, they found out he got a one way ticket home.
it's simple really. yes maybe they're anal about their paperwork. But you're asking them for the key's to a multi-million dollar jet with 50 people sitting behind you, and you're responsible for them. if you really cannot handle a little paperwork, how are you gonna handle the responsibility of being the guy up front with the controls. :dunno:

Couple questions about interview questions from the gouge:

In order to takeoff 5-5-5 this would be listed in the op specs per the airline and it must say so on the jepp chart for T/O mins. Is this correct?
-Would they ask this question if I have no prior 121 experience? or would they just be looking for the standard mins?

Also, the question from the gouge- wx is reported at 100 feet overcast is this a problem?
-Are they looking for visibility is controlling or something else?

Just doing some review and want to verify some answers.

That is correct. If I recall correctly, the t/o mins they showed me were approved for 5-5-5. They didn't ask me anything but standard mins.

RVR/Vis is controlling no matter the ceiling. However, ceiling does affect whether you need a t/o alternate or not.

I hope that helps! Good luck!!

Thanks for the response, one follow up:

It affects T/O alternate because you can not takeoff with weather below minimums (two engine aircraft) unless there is an airport within 1 hour with 1 engine inop, still air

Correct?

Correct!

Anyone else interviewing next week Tuesday?

I borrowed some jepp charts from a friend, studied my everything explained for the professional pilot book, and other misc. books. I feel about as prepared as I can be, unless I get bumped from my flight-1 seat remaining :)

To all those who I sent the Eagle gouge to. I just had another request, and I just realized I don't have the gouge on my laptop its at home on my desktop. I prob will go home again until done with school. for those who have used it, and interviewed with it If someone would be willing to post here offering to send it to the next group, I'm sure they would be very thankful.
thanks
