Each time you open a browser, the search engines will use AI and algorithms to attempt to identify you for ad purposes. With enough interactions and data, you are able to ferret-out social media profiles, email addresses, purchase history, browser history and effectively and quite easily determine who someone is.
There's such a vast amount of information about there that no one cares other than to make sure what Alexa heard you talk about or that article you read converts into relevant ads and tailored online experiences.
