People complain about the dysfunctionality of the new place. I just laugh.
Only people with good, solid senses of humor survive working at a ULCC for an extended period.

"Every day is like the first day!" Especially if you've contracted your ground service (above and below wing) out almost everywhere with minimal supervision during an explosive period of growth.

A few years ago when there was a cold weather event in ATL, I was waiting for parts that passing through Atlanta and delayed considerably. After a while I finally got a hold of USPS customer service to see what can be done about the delivery that’s holding up the return to service of that aircraft.

“I’m sorry but the snow is just…”

“What’s that phrase within the postal service? ‘Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night…’

The clerk didn’t find it amusing.

Not applicable to their contractors, evidently!

Southwest having trouble already in Minny. Look at the taxi time from left the gate. And its not really snowing barely.

I think we need an 'all of the above' because this year's meltdown will take place in the New York area due to ATC. No one except Silver, Sun Country and anyone else with limited exposure to the northeast is safe.

Given our propensity to put our eggs in the JFK/BOS basket I’m reasonably certain we will suffer the wrath of the Gods as we try to move people between the Northeast and Florida or the Caribbean.

But how many of those are like twice a week.
P.S. didnt they almost have a PDX base recently? Guess that didnt pan out?

Most of those are Thurs/Sun routes. PDX was on the table once but SCALPA has always shot any base beyond MSP down.
