There’s no actual true method of locking the door.

Most of the nets have those accordion-style doors. So if you flip up the little metal flap, that’s a direct connection to the locking mechanism.

If it’s an actual one piece door, there’s a slot on top or sometimes beneath the handle.

Ask the flight attendants. They should know.

Ugh. I am not now, and have never been a morning person. Let me sleep until 8, and I'll be wide awake until two am.

Unfortunately, this world was built by morning people, so unless you want to be a bartender or a musician you have to wake up 3 hours early and be exhausted by mid afternoon.
