Problem Cannot play embedded media

Not sure why or when it started, but for some reason on JC only, I cannot play embedded media (YouTube). It shows the player but nothing is clickable, basiclly just looks like an image. I'm able to play clips on any other web site I've visited.

Really not sure what's causing this but it's strange.

Slightly different issue, but I have tried to ember numerous videos from FB and none of them will embed.

Do you have the latest update of Flash? Also, if you're using Mac OS, they've crippled a particular version of Java and a version of Flash that was open to some sort of security problem.

And we cannot imbed videos from Facebook.

Oh, that would explain it then. I was confused, when you click the button to embed a video it says this:



You may embed media from the following sites: Dailymotion; Facebook; Liveleak; Metacafe; Video from The Onion; Vimeo; YouTube;

Pilotforhire587 Yeah, I saw that today. The things I learn!

Admittedly, I guess it might be an issue with permissions of the file at FB.

rframe - On the overall issues, which OS, platform and browser are you using when you can't see imbedded video?

Win 7, only seems to do it in Chrome.
I just fired up IE and FireFox and they are both working fine, so must be something weird with my Chrome, seems to be a local issue to me.

Yup, deleted everything Flash related, enabled the default Chrome Flash plug-in and life is good again.
I was worried I'd have to actually do some work tomorrow...phew! Close one!
