I did fly with a CA one time who didn’t have KCM, no idea why but based on my entirely subjective observations whatever it was he 100% deserved itOr keep the program as is, and revoke privileges, enforce the penalties, etc.
If one wants to look for something that isn't a prohibited item (guns, bombs, knives, hand grenades, Tomahawk missiles, Mark 48 torpedoes, water bottles and my aftershave, evidently) one should have to have a warrant supported by probable cause.Nope. Entirely separate. TSA’s purview should be Transportation Safety. If the drug cops want to screen the airports, they can do it as their own program and coordinate with TSA how that’s going to work.

The uniform or not really shouldn't make a difference. Identity validation is the basis of all real security, and at this point, between my two TSA CHRCs in the last 6 years, Global Entry, the Air Line's background check process and RAPBACK holding it all together, you would think everyone involved would be pretty damn sure who First Officer Blue is.Losing toiletries to TSA is my least favorite thing to do. "Uh, you're not in uniform? Wait, is that a uniform?" "It isn't, or is it? Either way, you know I sit at the pointy end, right? Confiscating shampoo, shaving cream, isn't going to change the destination or the trajectory of the plane...."

"It looks like a Best Buy in there!"I don't know, I like the looks on the smurf's faces when they pull my roller bag aside during a USP check and see the contents. I just give them a coy smile and googly eyes as they rifle through my makeup bag and untangle the flat iron.
I assure you, astroglide residue isn’t going to flag in the explosive analyzer"It looks like a Best Buy in there!"

There are...many...better alternatives, but good to know.I assure you, astroglide residue isn’t going to flag in the explosive analyzer

Still have pilots here who support(ed) FAs being in KCM?
I prefer conservative tears. They're sweeter.Liberal tears

Yup. It’s great knowing that the guy giving me the blue-glove special gets less background investigation by the TSA than I do.The uniform or not really shouldn't make a difference. My civil disobedience is using my Global Entry card (issued by DHS and with their logo on it) at Precheck. I greatly enjoy them telling me that drivers licenses work better with their machines.
In the interest of attempting to protect personal freedoms while giving the appearance of airport security we seem to have managed to have neither.
Which I would be less annoyed with if I don't get stuck behind Karen, who has never been to an airport before. If it's a dedicated crew line, it wouldn't be awful.
Until somebody important keeps having their flight delayed because their crew is stuck in security. Again. It won't be. It will be the most horrible amalgamation of incompetence and neglect.
