Any rumors of PUBNAT 8?

The panels aren't over yet so I wouldn't bother calling them. My guess is that ACD won't even receive the results for another week or two.
 
Good deal, I'm anxious to see what they say. I'm doing some offshore work right now, but should be back in 4-5 days. I was going to call then.
 
Not sure how many of you are waiting on a ZOB date, but I was just told by the training sup here that we are picking up 30+ new hires at the beginning of fiscal year 2012. I don't have any more details but I remember how starved for information I was way back in PUBNAT2 and thought this might help.
 
I tried calling the other day and they just told me that they still have a lot of work to do following the latest panel, and to check back in a few weeks.

As in, if we're contacted, this is when it will be? Or we should contact them around middle to late April?

During the last panel, it ended on 10/21 and selection e-mails went out on 11/24. Aviator (ASAP then) rejection notices started appearing on 11/2. Rejection notices didn't apply for PUBNAT8 last panel since they were being considered a second time this panel. However, there are no rumors of a third review so statuses should update to "Another candidate has been selected"...
 
So basically the 'rejections' should be about a week and a half to two weeks from the end of the panel if history dictates anything and the acceptence one's about a month after?
 
Can we update our ASAP application to show our current job and whatnot? My info is about a year old now and I'm still on the referral list. Or is it necessary at all?

I would expect Aviator to update very soon.

You cannot update your application. It wouldn't really make any difference at this point anyway even if you could since the selection panel is already over. The decisions have already been made...you're just waiting to find out what that decision was at this point.
 
Spades I appreciate that your trying to be helpful. I have been through many panels and sometimes it took months for the ASAP to update. Last couple of panels it did update quickly. There are different trends so anything could happen this panel. Aviator could not update until well after the emails are sent.
 
That's a pretty good observation. They seemed to scoop up Vet. Pref. people on the last panel. No offense against Vets. (I'm supportive of them getting preference), but I hope that most got selected last panel. It would give a better shot for us OTS folks that seem to get a bad rap.

yeah, I mean, review board one was almost exclusively vet's pref applicants (or so I'm told), but there was also a minority showing for true OTS candidates. I can't tell if that means they've depleted the pool of qualified vets, or if they just decided to throw in some civilians for kicks.

some really interesting stuff to think about.
 
They updated today! Check your status!

I didn't get it again. That's PUBNAT4-8 and not selected with WQ. Oh well...
 
Mine updated, didnt' get it, and I think....thats the end of the road for me, I turn 31 next march so..this dream i guess has died...
