Any good aviation movies?

does "Catch me if you Can" count?

Not that I would ever recommend, nay watch a chickflick, I wonder what MJG would say about the fire bombing flying sequences in "Always"??

And that DVD of "Bridget Jones Diary" well that is my wife's and if I ever watched it, it is because Renee Z looks pretty good even carrying an extra 5 stone.

Good call on One Six Right.

Really, I seriously cannot stand that movie for whatever reason.

King Schools has made some good ones :D

and of course, Conair
I cant watch it very often. Probably because of the length.

One Six Right did a wonderful job of capturing the beauty and grace of flight.:)

:yeahthat:

Excellent recommendation Waco. The Air Force has used that in leadership training courses. Far superior to Memphis Belle, which I also liked.

Other favorites are Flight of the Intruder and Dr. Strangelove

What is the Gann movie that starred John Wayne, I have always wanted to see that, but cant say if it is any good first hand.

The War Lover, with Steve McQueen and a young Robert Wagner. EXCELLENT flying scenes. Stunt flying by John Crewdson, who also did many of the flying scenes in James Bond flicks.

"Captains of the Clouds"
"The bride came C.O.D."
"Devil Dogs of the Air"
"twelve O'clock high"
"Flying Tigers"

The High And The Mighty?

Glad to see Airplane! mentioned here. Being able to quote lines from that move should be part of the oral exam for Private Pilot licenses. :p

I am surprised, though, no mention has been made of the Airport series of movies. Joe Patroni is my hero. :nana2:
