Guys, this is a stressful situation, but you can use this thread as an example of why it is bad for networking to post messages when you are drunk or on drugs.
I'm not open to the lecture and I never said you weren't going anywhere.
However, you have a unique opportunity and it can go either way. Clearly your employer is becoming one which isn't compatible with your goals so use the opportunity to change that.
Welp, can't say I didn't try!
Anyone else other that Firebird looking for guidance that's out there?![]()

Boxer-briefs. Hella comfortable and if you go with the microfiber, especially Calvin Klein, they sit so well.
And you can do the wiggle-wiggle-wiggle-wiggle-DANCE for spouse.
Such the martyr. Like it or not, every one on your seniority list is on your team. You need them and they need you in this fight. So past history needs to be set aside for the greater good if you want to affect change. Or you can keep "calling people out" and those same people and their friends will ratify a crap sandwich just to spite you. But hey, you're not "going down with out a fight".We both know my feelings on that.
First, my mother is very sick. Her white count is too low to even start her second dose of chemo, which a successful round of which is the validation for surgery she likely needs to live. I ran off in search of opportunity and my Dad died with me faraway as a result- I am NOT repeating that mistake.
Second, and more pointedly, I made a choice when I stood up four years ago and- not as a union officer but a loudmouth willing to go on record- starting burning people in the industry to the ground. I accepted then and in perpetuity that the guy out front waving the flag usually got shot back in the day.
If you google my name and 'airline', the first hit is the WSJ article. What airline is going to hire a subversive? This is as far as I go- and I know it. So I'm not going to roll over and just take it in the ass. Not again.
... and I might apply elsewhere, someday- but I seriously doubt I'm going anywhere.
This is it for me. Past history and present circumstance stay my hand- so I'll be damned if I go out without a fight.
Airline labor issues used to be solved with automatic weapons. Quite literally. Pilots love to beat their chests about where we've come from, but if strongly worded posts on an Internet forum disturb folks that much, they are anything but.
Yeah- go ahead and make light. But what you fail to realize is this- the battle won by pilots in decades gone by were won by pilots with the nerve to stand up to corporate bullies. The reason so many get trod on today is because they lack the spine of the forebears.
But hey- no worries. Drinks all around. We'll surely all get whatever we want 'just because'.
Cheers.
I wear Banana Republic Boxer Briefs.

Welp, we've all heard how I'm not going anywhere for a variety of reasons anyways, so screw it.
