Alaska Hawaiian Merger Serious Version

Whelp, any bets on which bases will get trimmed so SFO can be staffed and then how much that’ll drive attrition? If people are going to be forced to SFO why not go to UAL (assuming they get a CJO)?

Well if the rumor is true, that ANC is the most overstaffed FO base, this is gonna be ugly.

What other base(s) are FOs overstaffed?

In my base, CAs are short but apparently FOs are correct sized.

I mean if you prophecy doom and gloom your entire career eventually you'll probably be at least partially right. You and OTZ Eagle are the exact same person.

I'll talk about being stuck in a relative seniority position for years and nothing good on the horizon when it is warranted. Well it was warranted. this is just the beginning. Post SLI is going to be extremely ugly. For some reason you felt compelled to trash talk me and say I was miserable with zero to back up your opinion that things were good.

Pro tip: they never were good. They were just good for a very small, privileged percentage of the pilot group. When upgrade classmates are approaching me in the terminal, asking how I feel about the reserve system and when I tell them they open up about a desire to downgrade. Things are definitely not good.

It's what I've been saying all along. Maybe you shouldn't read into emojis so much bro brah
Or maybe you should be more considerate.

Or say people for whom having a Junior line was the only thing that made sfo bearable getting bumped down.
Hang in there, hopefully it’ll be short lived. Have you taken advantage of VRBOs or ILs?

ANC is a small base, but everyone there is Sr enough to hold SEA.

Damn it you're right. It's all horrible. It always has been. Worst airline ever.

They’re just trying to trigger you. Probably having a laugh in the group chat.

The reactions I get from junior pilots when I'm sincere about the outlook and QOL for junior pilots is pretty amazing. Being supportive of my peers by being truthful and not acting hard about how tough I am elicits some pretty cool reactions. Being a commuter doesn't help I imagine.

Not for you though. You've made that abundantly clear. Although I've found your lack of "try being more senior" today is very refreshing.

Lol, there are literally junior commuters in this thread who don't share your passion for negativity. It's been your entire career. You're gonna die young man, even before all us fat nerds.

You're so close. So close to understanding that speaking the truth isn't being miserable.

Also, the most of pilots I see in the terminal should probably have diabetes waiver and a CPAP machine but probably don't. My friends who happen to be pilots that I spend time with could outlive me but definitely not the average ones I see at work. ;)
