Alaska Hawaiian Merger Serious Version

You all use paper? The other all guppy redneck line has been paperless since this past spring and I figured they would have been the last to that party.

I'm not sure if it's just cultural or it's required. I don't really care either so I print it up. We no longer audit the nav log so I don't understand the point but do it anyway.

I don't have a lot of 121 points of reference. I've only worked at a regional and the aircraft were a lot less gross. This last trip I noticed a spoon up on the glareshield touching the R1 window. On closer inspection the entire glareshield was covered in teriyaki sauce. When it started getting all over the FOs sunshades I tried to clean it but sauce that was touching the glareshield had hardened onto glareshield leaving the top gooey and transferring to anything you put up there.

The trip started with me printing the paperwork at the N gates but finding the aircraft at the S gates of course. When I got to the gate, the gate agents had started boarding. Yet when I entered the aircraft the A asked me to stop the boarding because there was urine all over 1C. So I had to stop boarding and sort that out for about an hour. This was my first trip back from vacation. Good times.

Mind you this was an aircraft fresh out of maintenance...

This sounds like my nightmare the other night, where we closed, and instead of there being actual pax back there, it was all just filled with teriyaki sauce, and it started flowing under the flight deck door, until we we floating up to the ceiling gasping for the last remaining air before we became......teriyaki pilots ourselves. I'll tell you what, you can't eat your way out of a teriyaki filled 737 flight deck, don't even try!

Not gonna lie, this is the correct answer to the test.
Like my captain to me when I forgot to shave a few months ago mid trip. “Dude you look like a criminal” and to the FAs, “doesn’t he look like a criminal?” 😂

Yeah I didn’t forget to shave the next morning.

I don’t endorse public shaming, but we were already having a great trip/had a meal together and I took it in stride cuz I ain’t no bitch.

The FAs asked him if they were the new pants. I didn’t have to say anything. It was the last couple days of the old uniform, he was a good dude and I really don’t care as long as you fly good. Which he did.

There is a bit of wisdom in shaming in aviation. Not public, but I think we all live or die with the sage advice of "don't f it up"

My bad, I thought the new uniforms were at least tangentially related and would be a fun distraction but I guess it still went sideways.

The new pants static cling to my socks which somehow causes them to climb up my ankles.
I just can’t help but think most of us look like Michael Scott with the with the trench coat 😆. Except AMG because he’s an actual Naval aviator.

The captain I’m flying with now pointed out that you almost have to wear the hat with
the trench coat because otherwise you look like an FA
I thought FAs all wore different colored puffy or fuzzy coats that are from their own collection.

At least, that's what I see at every other airline!

Dude not gonna lie, they have so many variants of their uniform, I have been in a hotel lobby for like 10 mins thinking they were American FAs before we all got into the same van. I think its the scarves. If you ask me though, I secretly like the (gal) FAs who wear pants more. I mean uniform wise. It's pretty sharp, and doesn't give off as much of a "I deliver drinks" vibe. Most of them are from ANC and have like 20 acres of land and are homesteaders, which is also cool.
