Newbie question on cargo flying if its appropriate. I am moving to Burnsville NC this summer and I noticed Asheville and Tri-City are down and up the road a piece from where I will be moving too. In previous posts, I noticed you moved a lot. Is this a must? I will not want to leave my home area.
thx in advance
Unfortunately flying with airnet will likely require frequent moves
When I was worked at airnet there were runs that we're much more stable than others but from what I've heard there's not many of those left. Plenty of other cargo companies that have rather stable runs. The majority of the fed ex feeders don't seem to change that much. Ups is a different story.
I just got hired at Airnet. IOE starts next week and I'll have a set run out of CLT in the Baron and/or Navajo. This last training class was me and one other guy, who bid Columbus. He's reserve, will NEVER be home covering runs that will be understaffed for the foreseeable future because the ownership is too cheap to adequately staff the joint. Right now we are short on pilots, and there are some open runs out of Bradley, CT and Bedford, MA, as well as reserve positions at Columbus and St. Louis.
Pay seems ok or at least better than other 135 freight and the training department is top notch.
Lol, thanks. I've heard all about the reserve here, and I'm pretty happy I got a solid run. Things are changing a lot and CLT didn't open up until the day before we bid for bases.Fixed it for you.
Enjoy the CLT run, its pretty nice!
Good choice! Everyone at the 'net is top notch and I would stick my neck out for anyone over there to help em out. I wish I could say the same for the ownership.Lol, thanks. Who cares? The guy is a crook. He was replaced a long time ago. Don't drop the soap! Was GG able to fix his legal problems?
I had 1800, 26 multi. They are hiring with a minimum of 1000 hours, preferably with CFI experience.how much flight time did you have when you hired on with airnet? thanks
No 25s.Does Airnet still operate 23 LR25 and 16 Caravan and if so what is the upgrade time from PIC PA31/BE58 to the Caravan.
