A note to the new folks. This is a workplace.

Who carries a pilot bag anymore? You guys use Jepps?

For the 737, I bought a RJ flight kit hardcase from Crew Gear. IPad plus charger inside side pocket. Big space inside for my Bose Headset A20 (takes up a lot of space). Then my Bose Q15 for DHs. Flashlight, sunglasses, laptop, charger, plane wings and cards for kids, pens, passport, and “reading materials” magazines.

This fits *perfectly* in the side spot meant for a kit bag on a 737…

Wow, I haven't seen one of these for years. None of my suitcases even have a hook anymore as my laptop bag slides over the handle riser.

Man. Why the hate against PIT? Beautiful city, beautiful surrounding areas. And PIT is awesome easy to fly into, out of, and navigate within.

A very nice memorial display for the Tuskegee Airmen at PIT. @derg have you checked it out? Very nice. I had no idea so many were from western PA!

Dammit, do you know how much street cred I'd lose by liking one of your posts? They'd send me to Elba!

Oh, admittedly!

I'm not a "SWEET! We get the Southwest crew discount at the hotel bar in SEA" type of dude at all.

"I'm going to the scary, grungy part of the city to drink and eat… Oh, that's ok YOU enjoy, I guess I'll see you at pickup!" :)

I’m all for that, but I can think of infinitely better places than NYC or Pit, but you do you.

I think the misunderstaning is that someone called NY a craphole. I said I liked it it and comedically threw in PIT. Which is actually good layover. It's no Maui, but it's not bad.

Great dive bars and a nice place for a run down by the river.

Would I move or vacation there? NOPE.

I still can't figure out how we fill a jet from CDG to PIT

I went to Pittsburgh once for a week long conference.

Feel there's no need to go back when I can drink at home, or at least locally. We have a nearby river, too.

I grew up in PIT. Went to Moon Jr High and would cut class and ride my bike to the end of 28R and watch the USAir DC9s come and go - the same DC9s I would later fly.

I loved Primantis, Wings Suds and Spuds, and downtown is beautiful! We were married on the Gateway Clipper riverboat just off the point.

I'd move back in a second over flat, boring, Texas if I had the chance.

Oh, and I LOVE our downtown overnights in NYC too. Always have, even back at Airways when we stayed at the Mildew Plaza.

Maybe one man's trash is another's treasure.
