Can try but won’t happen.Any idea if the union is trying to get what Southwest got in their new contract in terms of pay?

I highly doubt it would be like SWA in terms of pay. That is a huge jump. I think the pay scale will come out close to what Alaska gets. Spirit does want to pay their Dispatchers more, which is certainly a good step in the right direction. Once the merger is complete and under one operating certificate with JetBlue, it will then be the 5th largest airline in the US and can then compete with the big 4 in terms of pay.Any idea if the union is trying to get what Southwest got in their new contract in terms of pay?
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for B6 to match WN's pay-scale.The only way I see Spirit matching WN is if JetBlue’s new contract does and the acquisition is approved in October. There’s no other reason I see them going from one of the lowest paying to the highest.
Isn't third year pay around $37 now?Spirit is highly unlikely to match. Talks are they want 3rd year pay to be starting pay at around 40 an hour. Expecting them to start 6 figures is a stretch, maybe in 10 years
It's about 40 when include license pay and shift differentialsIsn't third year pay around $37 now?
$40 would be an absolute insult, and wouldn't come close to even matching inflation since their last contract was signed. That sounds like a pay cut to me.
They do hire without DX experience, but prefer you to have it.Any idea if Spirit has or will hire straight out of dispatch school?
Thank you for your response. They do hire without DX experience, but prefer you to have it.
You work 4 on 4 off rotating days with 10 hr shifts, and it’s whatever the current rate is times 1825 hrs a year before taxes. It doesn’t fluctuate. Then you get a $125 license pay added per month as well.I see on the spreadsheet that Spirit is listed as an hourly rate but the schedule is based on an 8 day rotation. Does this mean that the pay will fluctuate depending on how many shifts are scheduled in a pay period?
So that essentially gets turned into a salary instead of hourly? You work 4 on 4 off rotating days with 10 hr shifts, and it’s whatever the current rate is times 1825 hrs a year before taxes. It doesn’t fluctuate. Then you get a $125 license pay added per month as well.
Pretty much except if you were to call out or take time off and you don’t have the sick or vacation to cover it, it gets deducted from your paycheck. But the base pay is hourly times 1825 hrs a year with bi-monthly payments on the 1st and 15th.So that essentially gets turned into a salary instead of hourly?
It is $125 per check / $250 mo for overrideYou work 4 on 4 off rotating days with 10 hr shifts, and it’s whatever the current rate is times 1825 hrs a year before taxes. It doesn’t fluctuate. Then you get a $125 license pay added per month as well.
