United Airlines Not Playing Around on Vaccine Mandate

Not the ones I’ve spoken to and do business with. Healthcare is already at a tipping point and many local hospitals are concerned that mandating the vaccine will push out even more nurses that much faster. 2 of the larger commercial construction companies I know are extremely worried.

Don’t people have to like, you know, work and make money? I thought most Americans couldn’t afford an unexpected $500 expense. But now they can just quit careers and chill out for awhile? How?

I’m vaccinated. I think it’s a good choice to get vaccinated. I just don’t agree that it should be mandated. People should be free to make what they feel is the best decision for themselves when it comes to their personal healthcare. That’s not my business nor should it ever be.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but just pointing out the rise in anti-vax 'my body my choice' people are also the same ones usually shopping at Hobby Lobby, Chik-Fil-A and calling for Planned Parenthood to be shut down. The COVID-19 vaccine has only been around a few months and weeks but they're fighting that shot with all their energy, yet Planned Parenthood has been fighting the same battle on a different stage since 1973 but they won't dare pledge any support to them.

Irony.

Biden shouldn’t have mandated the vax. He should have just allowed people to sue companies for $10k for using unvaxxed workers.

The latest meme of stupidity...

What a wild time to be in law school:

Was Biden's mandate constitutionally legal ? Or:

Can employees file suit against employers for unsafe working conditions around unvaccinated co-workers?

I don’t have the answers to everyone’s specific situation but it is absolutely happening. Healthcare workers are quitting left and right. Hiring new staff has become extremely competitive in just 6 months. My company advertised a position with almost double the “normal” salary and got 2 unqualified people interested. Stark contrast to just a year ago. Times are changing, I don’t think money is a primary motivator for some people anymore.

Dude if you think the primary reason healthcare workers are quitting is vax mandates you’re not in touch at all.

Math isn't your strong suit? I see at least a 50% upside. If you had a 50% chance of not paying taxes, would you take it?

What are my chances of getting the flu in the wild without a flu vaccine? Single digits last time I checked, so we're talking about taking my risk factor from say 5% to 2.5%. Last time I had the flu around 1998, I didn't feel great, but it wasn't deadly and isn't particularly deadly for my age group. I encourage my 70 year old father to get it. I'd probably get it if it were convenient. I'm not going out of my way to potentially lower a single digit risk factor by half. I was first in line to get the covid vaccines for obvious reasons.

Such a millennial.

Quite the opposite, actually. The millennial wokesters love to virtue signal with their face diapers.

It’s not just about you. Getting a flu vaccine stops the spread so that other people who are higher risk don’t catch it.
