Flowerz, yo

Heck yeah! I recently started riding in the morning with the promise to myself that, if I keep it up for a month, I can plop-down money for an electric bike and have further adventures.

Edit:
Apparently buying a bike right now is impossible. Very disappointing.

Also true. :p

Coworker of mine was shopping for the road bike he wants. Apparently should be in stock late 2022. I’m putting a whole new drivetrain on my beater daily driver mountain bike and had to shop around a bit but was able to find all the parts I wanted.
It’s freaking nuts! But makes sense with how many bikes I see out and about. I want to go ride the forest service roads on St Helens.

My 5 year old son upgraded to an 18 inch today, so he’s finally trying to beat through tougher terrain than just the sidewalk/bike path.

We got the one foot seated launch down and he’s killing it so I’m gonna give him a little time and start pushing him to more and more off road terrain.

I've been laid up for the past 8 months from a couple surgeries. Finally all healed up and plan to hit the trails again in another week or two. Unfortunately just started 7 days of getting requaled ground/sim and then a 4-day supervised line flying trip to knock the rust off and have my line check. Once those are done...I'm getting back in the saddle!

Sweet dude! And uhh, the taint needs breaking in as well. Could be a combo of the seat/not used to it but each spring since I'm now officially more a 'seasonal' rider my nether regions need some re-adjustment time.
Haha. There's definitely some truth to that. I might need a soft seat for my break-in period.

Actually contrary to popular belief soft seats don't really help. If problems persist after a few weeks of riding head to your local bike shop and see if you can get fitted for a saddle (they measure your sit bones by sitting on a bean bag thing) and can recommend a saddle. Also some padded bike shorts/liners will help too that's the part you want padded not the seat itself.

Lastly and perhaps most importantly, bike fit. If you haven't yet get a fit done or read up on how your bike should fit. Small adjustments here and there can make a big difference.

Give it a few rides to settle in though, it takes me about two weeks of consistent riding each spring to work everything out to feel comfy again.
