When I interviewed they thanked me for coming dressed appropriately...Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ.
Small wonder then. When I interviewed they thanked me for coming dressed appropriately...
Jesus Christ.
I did it 2 weeks ago out of SFO. Used the flow board to find a 200 that was going somewhere and back (I picked SBA turn) and then told the gate agent I'd like to jumpseat and sit in the flight deck to observe. Got out in SBA and told them the same. Just took bart to the airport and had my headset. It's easy! Have fun!So I'm headed to SFO for my observation flights today. Any tips?
Hat? No hat?
No seriously. How do I figure out the out and back flights? Are there any admin people I can speak with while I'm there? Just to say hi. Also ask about what flights are good/bad to choose. I noticed the crew lounge requires a SIDA badge? So no tour just yet?
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed because this side of the industry is so different. At least I know where the KCM checkpoint is....

There are, they're kinda junky thoughThere aren't spare observer headsets in your RJs?
SBA is a good choice too, weird visual.I did it 2 weeks ago out of SFO. I didn't know there were headsets in there. My classmates just told me they only brought their headsets so I decided to sheep it and follow what they did.Sure... but for two legs of observation flying... I dunno. Seems kind of silly to bring your own headset.
I suppose it would be a personal preference.Sure... but for two legs of observation flying... I dunno. Seems kind of silly to bring your own headset.

They're only headphones. I'd bring a headset. There's really zero reason not to bring your own headset.Sure... but for two legs of observation flying... I dunno. Seems kind of silly to bring your own headset.
Did they debrief you on the reasons why you weren't hired? Did you wear a suit?
When I interviewed last year one person wasn't selected, he was the person who did not have a suit or even a tie for his interview.
I believe you can wait six months for an interview. The HR questions are mostly to show what kind of character you have, interpersonal skills and humility if you have ever faced challenges and failed them. If you have anymore questions feel free to shoot me a PM and we can chat about the details if you'd like.
Get back on the horse and interview elsewhere, even if you don't want the job take the interview for practice providing you can afford the costs associated. That way when you re-interview with SkyWest you will have even more experience with the questions and layout of the process
Wish I'd seen this! Are you on the E-jet or the CRJ? You just need a crew badge to get down to the crew room, though you need to be in uniform.

It wasn't plaid or powder blue was it?Thank you for responding to my question.
Yes, I wore a suit, maybe my suit choice could have been better, but I wore one.
I'm on the e-jet. Thanks for letting me know about the crew room. I'm actually in uniform because it says to be in uniform on the form for the observation flights. I may just head down there and check it out.
