Speaking of uniform wear, I had a trip where the first day is a deadhead and the second day is the first flying leg.
The next morning in the hotel, I see the crew and I introduce myself. Another guy walks up in a Northface jacket and extends his hand and introduces himself.
I presumed he was a flight attendant.
Then he got upset with me because he's a pilot and not a flight attendant. Which is odd, who really cars and, well, pilots wear uniform coats when it's cold and the summer uniform when it's warm at my shop.
"Well, it's after March and I didn't think it would be cold, but it was so I have my civvy coat and at (former regional not Compass or Endeavor) no one cares"
Meanwhile, at no point in our pairing is it going to be over 30F.
A later over a beer I asked him "So you're upset with me because I thought you were a stew, but you want to transfer the uniform policy of your previous carrier to the new one? You're buying me the next beer, and get a hat in DTW"
