Welcome to JC, and good luck with the interview!
Well, thank you Sir!
Welcome to JC, and good luck with the interview!
I went to an information session being held my AE and this particular question came up. So I was told by an AE human resource personnell.
Just great. So I have had 4 violations in the past three years. Nothing within the past 18 months, so now am I screwed?
I have done ATP's Regional Jet Program which Eagle loves candidates that have gone through it and I have had the director of that program from ATP in Jacksonville send them my resume who airlines that are partners with ATP respect.
Despite have the RJ program and notable people send in my resume am I really going to NOT get a call for an interview because of 4 within three years and NONE within 18 months?
If so, I am sorry, but that really bugs me. I have worked harder than heck to do everything possible to get a regional job. I have an ATP, the RJ program you name it.
Is there anyone here who could shed some light on this. Perhaps someone who has been hired with more than what they say is the cutoff?
Thank you.
JamesD, did you put your violations on your airlineapps? Because they definitely do not like surprises on interview day. Also it may be a difference between a speeding violation and a non speed related violation. For instance I had a violation for having non DOT approved lights on my car. I told them what it was a no more questions asked. So all I'm saying is that the rule may be set for speeding violations only or it could also just be any violation whatsoever.
And also to piggyback on MikeD. There is really nothing you can do if they choose not to call you. So as hard as it may be just try to relax. Maybe you can go back to your friend at ATP with the connections and have him do a follow up. Maybe you can get a phone number or email address from him and ask about the status of your application. That's what I did I sent head of Pilot recruitment an email after not hearing from them for 2 weeks and found out that they had the wrong email address on file and then I was scheduled for an interview that same day. Good luck to you man.
Oh yeah I put everything. Now airlineapps doesn't say in their directions how long to go back so I just put down what was on my driving record which, I believe goes back 5-7 years. Now I had a lot back in 05 and earlier which again I put down, but then nothing for 2 years, but now I have had 4 within 3yrs and none within 18 months. Three are speed and one is a failure to yield and total BS of a ticket. Now if this is going to be a major deal breaker the good news is in March of 2011 I will only have 3. By that time the 4th one will be outside the three year mark so thats not that long from now. Honestly it wouldn't be the end of the world now that I think about it. I will have tons more time in the 421 which will help my multi time go way up! But still hopefully I can at least get an interview.
Start driving the speed limit while you're waiting too.![]()
Of course this coming from a Cop!This is all behind me anyways.
I know, Im just joshing you with lightheartedness so you relax some. You shouldnt have any troubles.....theres nothing thats a deal breaker with your citations.
Did they give you any kind of reason?
I interviewed today. There was supposed to be 8 of us but only 4 showed up. It was a really laid back experience, they really made you want to work there. If you study the gouge you can't go wrong. I breezed through the tech with no effort and they make them sim retarded simple. Take off, intercept a radial to a VOR, enter a hold over the VOR, vector for ILS all with the flight director. Then repositioned 10nm out on the localizer to fly a raw data ILS. Done. All that said after I finished everything they sent me home. Went to the bus stop with 2 of the guys that got offers and the 4th guy was still at HQ calling for fax numbers to past employers. No clue what they saw that caused me to get sent home but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I thought I had it in the bag. Great experience though. Solid company.
Anyone that has been asked about the Grid MORA. Are they just looking for 1,000ft clearance for non-mountainous and 2,000 for mountainous answer?
